An old factory chimney stands in the middle of a deserted building site, whilst tall glass buildings rise up around. For me during lockdown, these paused moments took on a new life, one much more peaceful and serene as the world around stopped.

After a year of cancellations and changed plans, we managed to sneak this exhibition between the ever changing restrictions and actually pull-off an exhibition that wasn’t cancelled.
We were interested in looking at that pause in time, where everything stopped for a little while… “Until Further Notice”. But there were certain elements of the environment that just stayed the same, and it was an interesting time to be making work and looking at the built environment.
I made a series of new paintings for the exhibition and myself and Mark worked on some collaborative works especially for the exhibition.
