I created this painting of camp Aida for a private fundraising event, helping to raise critical funds for the global charity In Place Of War, who use the arts to bring positive social change to areas of conflict in 26 countries.

The central theme in my work is Urban Regeneration and our connection to place, a theme pertinent when looking at Palestine and the power struggles which exist over land, identity, and ownership. I chose to paint camp Aida to connect the charities’ ethos of reclaiming and reimagining spaces consumed by conflict.
